The tool answers three separate questions, and they are worth keeping apart.
Is Mars in one of the marriage-sensitive houses? MilanYog uses the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th from the ascendant, the same rule the paid reading applies. Many practitioners also count the 2nd house. If your Mars sits in the 2nd, the tool says so explicitly instead of hiding it behind a yes or no.
What does the Moon say? The same count is taken from your Moon sign. A chart that reads Manglik from the ascendant and the Moon is treated as stronger than one that shows it from a single reference point.
Does a cancellation apply? This is the half that usually goes missing. The tool checks what one chart can settle and names what it cannot — whether your partner is also Manglik, for instance, needs their chart.
What this tool will not do
It will not tell you whom to marry, and it will not sell you a remedy. It also cannot replace an exact birth time: if your time is off by an hour the ascendant can move to the next sign, and the first answer moves with it. The Moon-based answer is much steadier.

For the ascendant-based answer, yes — the ascendant changes roughly every two hours. The Moon-based answer is far more forgiving, because the Moon takes about two and a half days to cross a sign. Without a time the tool still runs, and tells you which half of the answer to distrust.
